Eligibility criteria

Applicants must be employees of the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust or an affiliated organisation. Bank staff do not qualify. Please contact the Royal Free Accommodation Services Team for confirmation.

How do I make an application for accommodation?

Please contact the Royal Free Accommodation Services Team by email Rf.accommodation@nhs.net or phone: 0207 830 2921. If your application is accepted you will be nominated to Newlon Housing Trust.

What happens if my application is accepted?

Newlon will contact you within 2 working days to acknowledge receipt of the application. Your application will be added to a waiting list based on priority awarded by the Royal Free. We will contact you when a suitable property becomes available.

How long is the waiting list?

The waiting lists vary according to the type of accommodation requested and the priority awarded to each applicant. What happens if I receive an offer?

You must follow the instructions in the offer email and respond to the offer in writing by the deadline given (usually 3 working days).

What happens if I do not respond by the deadline or refuse an offer of accommodation?

Each applicant will receive a maximum of 3 offers of accommodation before being removed from the waiting list. If there are genuine mitigating circumstances for missing an offer then Newlon will use its discretion in allowing a further offer to be made.

What happens if I can’t move in on the date I’ve been offered accommodation from?

Please contact us as soon as possible to discuss whether an alternative tenancy start date can be arranged. Cleaning Services

Cleaning contractors provide cleaning services to all communal areas Monday to Friday and also clean internal shared areas of flats at Anne Bryans House and Queen Mary’s Residence Monday to Friday. They do not clean inside individual resident’s rooms or flats.

Repairs and Maintenance

We have a dedicated Quality Accommodation officer to carry out simple ‘handyman’ repairs. Any technical repairs such as electrical and plumbing repairs are booked in with our external maintenance contractors. All portable electrical appliances that we provide are PAT Tested annually.

Fire Safety

All sites are provided with fire detection and alarms in line with fire safety and building regulations. We continuously monitor fire safety equipment to ensure resident safety. When you become a resident we will inform you of the specific fire safety procedures relating to your building.

Parking
